Mortgage Haven rolls out significant automation with Salestrekker

Mortgage Haven is the brain child of Dale Henry, a former Victorian police officer. With an innate understanding of what makes people tick, Dale has transitioned from a career serving the community to one that now serves the mortgage needs for Australians. Established in 2022, today the Mortgage Haven team has grown to 3 staff and specialises in delivering stress-free home loans for its rapidly growing customer base.
Being part of the Redrock Brokers Group network of mortgage brokers means that Salestrekker was the established CRM platform for Mortgage Haven from launch. This aligned with Dale’s intentions to maximise the firm’s use of technology to streamline and automate the mortgage process – from application to customer communications and approval stages.
“Starting a new career meant that I was unaware of the benefits of Salestrekker. We were initially utilising two CRM platforms; however, once I had an understanding of the power of Salestrekker, I made the decision to decommission the other platform and go all in on Salestrekker,” said Dale Henry, Founder and Lending Specialist.
Tried and true templates
Realising he was working too much in the business and not on the business, led his mentor to introduce Christian Paterson of Auctus Coaching. A Salestrekker specialist and former mortgage broker himself, means Christian shares unique insights into processes, workflows and where Salestrekker can help with the ‘heavy lifting’.
“Knowing that Christian has coached Australia’s top performing mortgage brokers who are also trusting Salestrekker for their CRM needs gave me both the proof and the confidence Mortgage Haven would also benefit,” Dale said.
Following a collaborative review of Mortgage Haven’s processes, workloads and workflows, a series of templated processes streamlining mortgage applications is now in place. This is giving Dale and the team the confidence to power through their workloads.
Dale remains involved with each application, however a better understanding of Salestrekker’s automation and customisation capabilities are delivering efficiency and productivity gains for Mortgage Haven.
“Salestrekker has great document collection and integrated digital signing already. With one click of a button, I can have a credit file in front of me that simplifies applications and saves time. It’s been a great starting point for moving into a new industry,” he outlined.
Giving back in the future
Moving into its third year of operation has seen the team expand to keep up with its 80 % year-on-year growth. Currently servicing both regional Victorian and national clients, Dale is seeing growth come from a section of the community that is close to his heart – his former police colleagues.
Delivering on his intention to give back to The Code 9 Foundation that supports former first responders with PTSD is a key reason why streamlining his business helps him help others.
“The transition from policing and serving the community to serving the police community is a full circle moment for me. Salestrekker has helped Mortgage Haven to establish the processes that help me free up more of my time to focus on people – and not on administration. This is what my former colleagues need,” he outlined.
Having a first-hand experience of PTSD and how The Code 9 Foundation helped him transition to a happier personal life motivates Dale to continue to chase even greater efficiency benefits with the review with Auctus Coaching.
Post fine tuning Mortgage Haven’s use of Salestrekker delivers means a significant reduction in manual administration and streamlined transparent processes. Without sacrificing the customer relationship and communications that help deliver loyal, happy staff and clients.
“I’m involved in every application to a certain degree, but what has changed is with the introduction of Salestrekker templates, we have been able to accelerate the workflow. This means in certain instances 85% of the workflow can be managed by my team once it’s in train. It’s a great tool to manage my stress levels, which is really important to me with my background,” he continued.
And with Salestrekker 2.0, Dale is banking on continuing to transform daily workflows.
“Being in a high growth area of Victoria, I plan on building out our referral network and Salestrekker 2.0 can be customised to work even harder for Mortgage Haven,” he concluded.
