Salestrekker welcomes ASIC report, highlighting existing compliance capabilities

Sydney, 13 October 2026 – Salestrekker has welcomed ASIC’s review of mortgage broker best interests duty and complaints handling practices, highlighting that Salestrekker 2.0 already provides integrated capabilities to help brokers and aggregator partners address key challenges identified in the report.

ASIC’s Report 840 calls for clearer justification when more expensive loans are recommended, file reviews that assess recommendation quality, stronger follow-through on audit findings and better data for monitoring broker conduct. It also identifies underreported complaints and inconsistent complaints handling.

Salestrekker CEO and Founder Dalibor Ivkovic said the findings reinforce the platform’s development priorities.

“Productivity and compliance were both central to building Salestrekker 2.0,” he said. “Helping brokers work efficiently goes hand in hand with helping them document sound recommendations and supporting aggregators’ oversight.

“We welcome ASIC’s recommendations for strengthening best interests duty compliance and improving consumer outcomes. Salestrekker 2.0 already brings product comparisons, compliance notes, automatic auditing and workflow tools together to support this work.”

Compliance AI helps brokers prepare clearer, more consistent draft compliance notes within consumer loan applications. Brokers review and validate these against each client’s circumstances, including why the recommended product serves their needs and why any additional cost is justified.

Salestrekker 2.0 also has the capability to automatically audit all transactions. Audit AI performs real-time file checks at lodgement, flagging potential issues and giving aggregator partners visibility of submissions requiring closer assessment.

Checklists, task management and automated workflows support follow-up and corrective action within the same platform.

“The quality of the recommendation matters as much as the completeness of the file,” Dalibor said. “Automatic auditing helps identify concerns earlier, so brokers and aggregators can focus their attention where it is needed.”

Policy AI, lending calculators and the Client Portal complement these capabilities, helping brokers gather information, assess options and access lender policy guidance within their daily workflow.

Salestrekker is also working to implement complaint registers within Salestrekker 2.0, bringing complaints recording and management into the central working environment.

“Brokers and licensees remain responsible for their recommendations and obligations,” Dalibor said. “Our role is to provide practical tools that help them work better, strengthen compliance processes and deliver better client outcomes.”
